ik ben de vader van Marieke vandaar dat ik je site ken. Ik vind dat je heel veel mooie foto’s maakt. En vooral dat zwart-wit vind ik mooi. Weet je, ik vraag me wel eens af waarom de ene fotograaf beroemd is om zijn/haar foto’s terwijl de ander met minstens net zo mooie foto’s anoniem blijft. Ik denk dat het een kwestie van relaties/netwerken/tjd is waardoor iemand bekend raakt, maar dat weet ik niet zeker. Wat ik vooral leuk en goed vind van je foto’s is dat je mens mooi weergeeft. Leuke stijl. Ik denk dat je op zijn minst nationale waardering kunt bereiken door je foto’s op te sturen naar “fotowedstrijden”. Misschien doe je dat al (de waardering zal ooit komen) of wil je dat niet. Hoe dan ook: gewoon door blijven knippen zou ik zeggen. Dan heb ik en velen met mij in elk geval mooie foto’s te bekijken.

Wat een mooie nieuwe template heb je. ;) Het grappige is, dat ik jouw oude template wilde gebruiken maar toen dacht ‘Nee, daar krijg ik vast commentaar op.’
Ik vind die nieuwe kopfoto erg cool.

Ik zag net je deel twee, wederom indrukwekkend! Op een of andere manier is het nog extra surreal/sprookjesachtig om het vanuit Damascus tot me te nemen, de tegenstllingen (maar ook overeenkomsten!) zijn heel bijzonder.
Maar ik bedenk me nu dat ik je beter even kan mailen dan van alles zo maar op je site gaan zetten, al helemaal als dat niet 100% met je foto’s te maken heeft. Wat betreft USA, part 2: intiem, groots, Suzan en opvallend, dat is wat ik erover te zeggen heb!

Hey this article said to guess who you thought would come up if you googled just your first name. I dont know any other Suzan’s so I didnt guess, but yours was the first interesting one and we share a few strange things in common.
Our name and my first camera was an olympus XA it went around the world twice with me from when i was 13 till 23 and had been bought new in Africa by my dad, i really miss it since I sold it after buying a digi olympus and needed the cash…glad to see you having fun with yours – nice pics by the way!

hello suszan, i like your page. i found it after i was looking about some stuff in berlin. i leave here and i still use a old canon eos 1n with a booster. most of the time i use the rest of old agfa b/w films. the question i have is: how do you get your 35mm frames digital? wich scanner can you suggest me? i´m still looking for one.
