Some frames of the place where we stayed. Neopan1600.

A late night cig in the smokingroom:

One of my favourite frames I shot on this trip:

Morningcoffee again (shot by Myrna):

On Friday we went to the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum. Great stuff.

Joost doesn’t seem too impressed.
A frame I very clearly remember taking and which turned out exactly as I thought/hoped:

I was bright enough to compensate the exposure due to the white walls.

Crop:

Loaded up some Superia800.

Cindy Sherman being redundant:
Me doing my thing (shot by Myrna):

Wanted to shoot a mirrorportrait in the toiletroom, but Myrna “complained” how I always hide behind my camera and that her face always shows. So we switched rolls: she hid and I did not. You can tell by my stupid smile that her hiding face was cracking me up:

Fantastic exhibition by Raymond Pettibon in the basement:
Visiting the museum giftshop:
Bought a the book “Drive-by Shootings” by the NYC cabdriver/photographer David Bradford. For €5,- Very nice book, it was a pleasant surprise. His photos that he takes from the cab didn’t feel very repetitive. The accompanying essays did became a bit cheesy and repetitive at some point though.
Myrna and me waiting on the steps outside for Joost & Miek:
Me on the phone with Fabian, who we’d meet later that day (shot by Myrna obviously):

Joost enjoying his white chocolate with bloodorangefilling:
Meeting up with Fabian (who desperately needs to update his blog), Yulia and Vincent, Julien and Claire.

Having some very tasty sandwich with cheese of which I forgot the name.

And cheap wine/beer. Hanging in the park like/with true hobo’s.

(^Spot on focus, unlike the first).

We headed to a party, but I didn’t take any photos there because of the low light situation and the fact I can actually enjoy myself without my camera ;) If you watched the video I posted a couple of entries ago, you saw some of the party: the nightvision shots. And ofcourse Joost’s shoe with puke on it.
Myrna and me on our way back (I love public transport that serves at night too):

The next day we hung out at the Reichstag. The film I shot on that day I have yet to develop ’cause I ran out of D76, if there’s anything worthy to show on it, it will come later.

The pola Myrna shot there. I’m the exhausted retard in the front (while Joost hijacks my camera).
Sunday, on our way back to the Netherlands:

Thank you again for dropping by! Berlin is more or less wrapped up, moving on to the US… See you in a couple of weeks.

http://suzage.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/061007015.jpg die vink heel leuk, die ‘huh’ pose.
En die van jou op de trap is super sexy ;)
about your fav pic. it’s kind of funny because I really like it too, then I’ve realize my dad would be like: What’s the point, we don’t even see her face blablabla..
it’s fun to see what is important to everyone in a picture…
some great frame. really good. especially the first ones and the ones at the museum. beautful. well done. waiting from more from the US. have fun!
Is beutiful ey. I like very much the pictures.
nice photos. really :)
gotta find me a nice girl, ok ? :P
Your photos always convey the atmosphere of the time you share with your friends, clever use of colour in the first few superia800 frames!
Look forward to seeing the next roll :)
He, tof, ik ben ook in het Bahnhof Museum geweest. Geweldige plek.
Toen ik de foto’s zag was het wel even schrikken zo van ZW naar kleur. Ben je niet meer zo’n ZW-fanatic als vroegah?
ciao!
I believe this one’s my favourite from the Berlin series heh
it looks like you had lots of fun!
cheers Suzage
Suzi, you one of the coolest persons I have met lately, and also I love your photos. I wish you the best back in The Netherlands!
as always you have a great eye! thanks for sharing
I came across this page by accident while looking up Raymond Pettibon for an art project, and I just have to say I love these pictures. The pictures alone tell such a story. I like how natural they look. Needless to say I was distracted from my art project.
Ein fohes Neues jahr!
