…and then they said Börlin and I understood.

I went to visit my grandmother, because I don’t do that very often. And I regret that I don’t have any photos of my grandfather, who passed away 4 years ago and was the quintessential sweet gramps. So I took some shots of her (which I haven’t yet developed, because my 2reel tank has been broken by… god knows who). And I dug through old photoalbums to borrow some photos to clean up and reproduce.

My grandmother.

I have been restauring some of the old photographs of my grandpa.

It was some fantastic study avoiding behaviour.
I’ve been shooting the XD-7 a bit and I like it.

Some testshots while hanging at Myrna’s.

I so dig Superia800. I want more of it. But I can’t get it here it seems, while in Berlin… That was film walhalla! Well, since I live close to the German border I guess I need to pay them a visit and stack up.

^Marieke checking the contactsheets of the colourphotographs of Berlin.
Hanging out with Kyle in Amsterdam.

After Falafel cig.

Of course the photography museum is a must see.

I find it funny to see how people photograph. Usually people have a very distinct look and pose.

My camera got hijacked at several points. Because someone was missing his filmcamera.

Kyle signing his book for me.

And feeding camerashy pigeons grenola.

^I like this one; shot by Kyle obviously.
About the Berlin photos; I’ll wait till I got everything developed, so I can do the entries/photos/days chronologically.
But if you already want an impression of our trip; check this compilation of what Joost shot:
Credit for the fantastic entrytitle goes to my automatic entrytitle generator.
Some random photographs and some more.

Neopan1600 in D76, with the SRT-101 and the 50/1.7
I bought a new body (I think most of you know already though). An XD-7, and it seems to be in a pretty nice state so far. It’s smaller and lighter and with more options than my previous one; it’s nice!
Ok. Where to start… It’s a bit random what I shot on these rolls, with taking them out and putting them back in again and stuff.
Let’s start with the small devmeet with Sofia (and her friends), Rebecca and Gerard in Amsterdam.

Sofia.

Rebecca (it’s rude to point! ;)).

Posh Gerard.

The weather sucked so we had something to eat at Burger King (flawless logic, I know).

Which is tricky: eating in front of people with a camera (this was shot by Gerard, so don’t blame me, Becks!).

The unavoidable: camera’s in great amounts came out.

Look at that smile hidden behind the camera! Yes, photography is good fun.

And of course the horns are unavoidable too.

Still raining, so we headed to a pub:

Where there’s a mirror, there’s a selfportrait.

I like this one a lot. Cheers, Sofe!

Awww no.1

At some other time and other place:

With Myrna in the pub. I like how classic it looks. I think this could be a nice smooth print; the highlights of this scan are a bit screwed.
Sailing the boat to the coast of the Netherlands with my dad:

I showed this scan to my dad and he said: “Who’s that handsome fella?”

We left in the evening and the light was really nice.

A bit of a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ frame.
Another time, another place, another pub, same Myrna:

Exciting times :D

The weird lines again. I’m sure now it’s my reel . Won’t develop anything new before I get my hands on new reels. (But at least it makes for some nice “art”).

(So pissed about the lines here!)
The last frames of the roll and the first frames from our trip to Berlin. Earlymorning in the train.

Thanks for dropping by! Next entries will be of Berlin.
