Fish with feet and other photos.
May 19, 2007
The day before yesterday I developed 2 rolls of Neopan400 (in D76). And I’m pretty excited about some frames. Which made me happy because I was afraid photography was kinda slipping through my fingers. But it feels better as ever now. Just need to print some stuff soon! I’m fairly update with developing though, thanks to my super duper two reel developing tank!
So here are some scans from negative. All shot on my Minolta SRT-101. Mostly with the 50/1.7 I think.
Some time ago Miek, Myrn, Dennis and me went to Extrapool. Weird night. Weird light and poetry performances.

Than to a snackbar.

And a pub.

New haircut, which needs a new mirrorportrait.

I did that: angermanagement time…

This is gonna be an extremely random entry. This was at the trainstation in Njmegen. Shooting a stranger. I kinda never do that. I dunno why I did it. But I like the eyecontact.
You kinda have to full view that one to get it. Yes, I was bored on the train yet again.
To visit my parents for Easter I think.

My sister still toying around with her new camera. The tones on these are extremely nice. I don’t think I’ve ever had nicer tones than this with Neopan400.

This would be nice to print.
We went scubadiving on the Caribbean where I came face to face with this fish with feet! I spend like 15 minutes before that aquarium. Ehrm, I mean under sealevel.

At that zoo I spend most of our time in the aquaria. For some strange reason I loved it so much. And I really like how the underwaterlife rendered on b/w film. I was lucky with the light, just enough to shoot on 400 ISO with 1.7 and 1/30.

I would really like to print this big :D

The Pelicans were really boring and I was kinda tempted to park her over at the aquaria. Because those were cool. (Shooting a stranger again…what was I thinking? I’m not gonna go into streetphotography anyway.)

And of course shooting a lot of non strangers.

She’s going “awww…” because of this:

Anywho, thanks once again for the wonderful feedback on the previous entries. I really appreciate it and it’s stimulating to keep going.

Cheers!
… or at least, that’s how it looks like, after developing 2 rolls of APX100. One I started in October, the day we left Paris and arrived home again. I finished it like 4 months later (with some snazzy double exposures. What am I? A beginner?! Geez). Which means it hasn’t been APX100 weather for 4 months! Oh, I’m so happy it’s Spring again.
Having some wine after the busride from Paris.

Wink!

Then to the final destination by train. Oh, it looks like Tommie (couperus.deviantart.com) joined us too, in the double exposure 4 months later! How anachronistic.

Tommie in all his glory. I laughed so hard when I examined my negs after developing and saw this frame.

Shot some frames at my internship. I guess my next task will be archiving…
Ah, last Monday: the Queen-Mother her birthday. It’s celebrated extensively here throughout the country. But we just avoided the busy city and hung in the park. Still a bit hungover from the night before, when we danced our cute little behinds off.

Not too happy about the exposure on these frames, had to use the curves tool in PS on some. I sincerely hate shooting in bright sunlight. Totally freaking hard contrast. Ugh… I tried to expose for the shadows if the face was in it, but then you get those ugly blown out highlights. No, not satisfied with this bunch, I don’t think I will print much from it. Although they’re nice reminders of a good day.

I dunno what it is with my friends and tongues…

Miek and her snazzy sunglasses.

Which we all hijacked at some point. (Argh, that contrast!)

But didn’t fit JD all that well.

That’s the highly sceptical look you get from me when you hijack my camera.

Emo!

Not so emo!

Stillife of Pringles, Cola, Wine and socks.

No, I’m not the only one obsessed with recording our lives, haha!

His new found love.

I like this shot a lot for some strange reason.
We shot some polaroids and had a lot of fun with that.

Joost by me.

Myrna by Joost.

Miek by me.

Me by Myrna. Joost and Miek ran to the background and started dancing (and then fighting) there to provide some background entertainment, haha.
Thank you for the overwhelming great feedback on the last post! (My blog even made it into the list of growing blogs here on wordpress.) I hope you liked this entry too, at least I had good fun shooting these frames!

“Noooo!”
